Path of Exile Item Upgrades

The performance of a variety of Path of Exile items can be enhanced by upgrading their performance. They can be a fantastic source of extra damage or more AD or even more affixes.
Rare-grade equipment is often superior to modernized Common or Magic gear because of their high requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be applied to weapons and armor items. They improve the stats of the item they are connected to. Armor upgrades are available in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at bonfires. They can also be salvaged by using an expert or higher salvage kits to salvage upgrades from the items.
The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it can absorb. The upgrade of an armor piece to its highest upgrade level will boost the damage it absorbs. Casesgg is important to keep in mind that this will increase the weight of the armor, so it should be heavier.
There are several kinds of armor upgrades that are available in the game and they all have different effects. For instance, certain upgrades give the armor a certain amount of additional health points, while others will make it stronger and lighter. The name of the upgrade will indicate the type of upgrade that an item will receive, as shown below.
Some of the upgrades also require magic or a hybrid technology and magic, as shown by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table. Certain upgrades also require fees to use. These are identified as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges associated with these upgrades refresh daily or never expire, depending on the upgrade.
The cheapest method to upgrade armor is to use Iron Ore, which can be found by exploring the area and looting minor loot chests. Titanium is more expensive, however, it is available from smelters located in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, such as the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can provide a significant boost to stats and are worth the investment, especially for 1-handed weapons.
The player should be aware that upgrading a piece to its maximum upgrade level can increase its defense values. However, it will also decrease the speed and agility of the piece. It is not recommended to upgrade armor above +9. The defensive boost gained generally isn't worth the weight and power expenses of the upgrades.
Weapons
Weapon upgrades give players the ability to improve certain aspects of their weapon. Upgrades can boost the accuracy of a rifle or the damage that shotgun shells cause. Certain firearms also have upgrades that improve their innate characteristics. Frictionless materials (improves stability, and reduces the risk of overheating) and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's speed for greater damage) are two examples.
The majority of upgrades to weapons require three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons and a whetblade to apply. They can be obtained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain number of bosses and monsters.
Upgrades to a weapon, equipment Set piece, or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade cost of a certain number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the higher the number of bars are required to complete it. The cost of the upgrades will be lower if have more than one of the relevant upgrade materials.
In Chapter 2: Season 5 the way you upgrade weapon and equipment sets has changed. Prior to Chapter 2 Season 5 you could upgrade your weapon or equipment by paying a specific number of Bars. You could do this until you reached a maximum upgrade level for your equipment or weapon, after which the upgrades would reset.
You can still do this but the process is high on RNG and low on agency. You should consider buying equipment with low levels of upgrade and high base scores and stat distributions. These items will have a better chance of granting you the most prestigious tier of advantages and benefits.
The majority of players will prioritize weapon upgrades for the weapons they are most likely to use to allow them to progress faster. Additionally players, they should think about upgrading the weapons favored by their squadmates to increase their power as well. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R, which will increase its utility when paired with biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.
Jewels
Jewels are utilized in the armor's sockets and weapons, increasing a stat and providing secondary effects. They can be created using the process of jewelry crafting, in which you combine a gem and a number of specific reagents at a jewelry table. The higher the level of the gem is, the greater its secondary effect. These reagents are obtained in the world from Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and occasionally by salvaging Legendary gear. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Prism.
The quality of a gem can be improved upon by the Jeweler, in stages that range from Crude to Royal. Based on the level of the jewel it can provide different stat boosts when it is inserted into weapons, gear and jewelry.
All kinds of jewels are crafted at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a high enough level to qualify for these. Jewels can be replaced with another jewel without destroying the original. However it is only possible to replace the jewels in an equipment piece once.
Utilizing more jewels in the movement can make it feel more comfortable, and is often done to enhance the aesthetics of the movement. The jewels can also enhance performance and make a harder surface than steel, so that the repeated friction caused by pivots does not damage them.
In addition to the above upgrades additionally, players can acquire glyphs for their weapons and shields from a Glyphmaster. They offer a small benefit and are able to be swapped easily but aren't guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded, like jewelry, at the Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Crystal. Glyphs can also be removed, which returns them to the inventory. Other upgrade components like aegis or traits cannot be swapped, and can only be recovered through an upgrade extractor or salvaging with Black Lion Salvage Kit, or Ascended Salvage tool.
Trinkets
Trinkets can give your character a variety of small, but valuable benefits. They can be acquired starting in the starter areas as loot or personal story rewards from vendors, or by performing road interactions. They can also be crafted by jewelers and later found or purchased on the Trading Post.
The first trinket a player can unlock is the cloak. It grants a small but valuable boost in speed of movement and the ability to evade. The player can then acquire rings, amulets and necklaces in a similar fashion to how they acquired weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment has one upgrade slot that can accept either a universal upgrade or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades provide smaller bonuses and can be put into any kind of equipment while jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded, and only works with certain kinds of trinkets.
These trinkets can provide additional bonuses and abilities that are active even when the hero isn't engaged in combat. This lets a hero be more efficient when they are not active. It can also compensate for the absence of excellent slot in the talent tree or team which would normally be filled by the hero's best stats.
In general, trinket upgrades should prioritize BiS (Best in Slot) items you won't replace soon. Also, consider items that have desirable statistics aren't as significant as the iLevel of the item that is to be upgraded. This is especially true when you want to upgrade multiple statistics on an item. It is better to upgrade one important stat than two less important ones.
Jungle players will often upgrade their yellow trinket to a red one prior to the beginning of the game. Mid and top players on the other hand they will select a pink or green ward, depending on the matchup. These choices can impact the hero's ability to manage the map.
In addition to the items listed above, players will find other trinkets in the form trophies and rewards throughout the game. These can be earned through completing certain milestones in the story, such as finishing a chapter's main quest or killing a particular boss. These achievements can be seen by selecting the appropriate achievement from the reward tab of the hero menu.
